The new moon has been sighted in Jerusalem, beginning the 8th month of Cheshvan on the evening of October 12, 2026. Even at the 30th day it was a difficult sighting, perhaps because of the shallow angle of the ecliptic. When the moon came around to Texas, it was only visible for a short time. Mercury was above and to the right of the moon but was not visible in the sun’s glare. I was hoping to get a glimpse of Mercury, but experience has shown me that it is a very difficult sighting. Calendar resources to be posted soon. I may put them on the main web site as they are foundational. There is literally a skeleton crew observing the lunar observations with respect to the Biblical calendar on Planet Earth.
